Research

Whatever the sector or the issue, essentially, I ask myself the following questions: When is there meeting, conflict or ignorance between humans and nature? How are the climate emergency and the transition efforts perceived: as a challenge to be met, as insurmountable, as a sacrifice, an effort or a playful exercise on ourselves and on society? Do we see them as a positive or negative challenge to everything we know, our comfort, our lifestyles and our habits?

My different research projects aim at providing pragmatic and empirical answers to obstacles to behavioral changes in the different sectors linked to the socioecological transition : mobility, food, public policies, energy production and consumption, territorial climate strategies, adaptation to climate change, daily operations, institutions, firms, production… Whatever the issue or the sector, I explore the drivers of behavioural and institutional change and non change, which is why I think of myself as a social climatologist.

My analyses offer recommendations (either new or improving already existing ones) aimed at lightening our footprint on Gaia and on ourselves in fields such as:

• mitigation policies in different sectors,
• improve our ability to adapt to future changes,
• populations support,
• climate friendly strategies plans
• training teams on climate and energy issues as well as
• conferences for the general public (some of which you can look at on the media page)…
• Sociologically realistic based prospective scenarios.
